I’ve embarked on a fantastic journey to better health and well-being from the inside out. I had never been this excited about my health. For years I struggled to get my weight under control without success. I tried different diets, programs, shots, you name it, but none were exciting and long-lasting.
Once I started learning about and adopting healthy habits, I began experiencing results. I had more energy and focus, pounds started coming off, I felt lighter, my clothes fit better, and I stopped taking allergy pills. I even help my husband with the lawn getting deep in the grass and pulling out weeds without even a sneeze!
When I started to see those pesky pounds come off steady and without any side effects like headaches or lightheadedness, I became excited by the day. For the first time in my life, I felt in control of my body. In under two months, my weight went down 16.6 pounds!
What was different? What worked?
But I mean coaching from someone who had struggled just like me, not a slim Barbie, but someone who went ahead of me through the process herself and shed 50+ pounds in about six months. When I heard my coach’s story, I jumped all in! Where do I sign up?
Thankfully, I thought about getting my husband on board with me from the get-go and this made it so much easier to keep us connected, excited, and eating the same amazing meals I’ve become so excited about.
We have learned to eat at restaurants by selecting healthy choices.
Imagine, ME― a rice and bread and butter lover ― saying No! to Rosa’s Restaurant’s savory rice. No! to Outback Steakhouse’s hot delicious bread and butter. No! to Olive Garden’s delectable garlic bread, pasta, and chocolate mints at the end of our meal! We still eat at these restaurants but we customize our selections.
That’s a whole nother level of self-control I had never known before! That cannot happen without a change of mindset, learning to love your body by feeding it well and having someone help you along the way.
Through my health coach, I experienced the huge benefits of accountability, encouragement, and experience. We all need encouragement and motivation from someone who has already succeeded ahead of us.
Because I had such powerful results, I decided to become a Health Coach to give others the gift of transformation I had received.

I am so grateful that my husband joined me in this journey. He shed pounds a bit faster and I’m super proud of him. In just 53 days he lost 20 pounds! Prior to getting healthy, he could not mow the lawn without a mask and allergy pills, and still, he would be miserable afterward with red eyes, sneezing and a stuffy nose. Since getting healthy, he does not use a mask, does not take allergy pills, and is not miserable!
